1. The important bits

Entry Deadline - The deadline to enter an idea is 11pm (UK) on Thursday, 29 February.

Pre-Entry Process - To get the best possible start to the Big Idea Challenge, we will deliver an information session and Learn + Launch Workshops to help you define your idea before submitting your application.

Entry Form - You can find the online form to enter your idea here.

Eligibility - The competition is open to all current London Met students and recent graduates, and students from London Metropolitan University's international partner institutions.

Big Idea Challenge is London Met’s annual flagship enterprise competition. Over the past ten years, Big Idea has supported over 200 ideas and nurtured more than 20 winners.

The business pitching competition is open to all students and recent graduates, giving the opportunity to turn any idea into a business!

The winner will receive prizes designed to help you develop your idea and eventually launch the business. We want to help you turn your Big Idea into a reality!

Any kind of idea. Whether it’s for a business, a social project, a creative endeavour or making the world a better place, you can enter one of our four competition categories:

• Commercial 🤑💸💡 For business ideas with commercial capabilities to make money through a service or product.
• Community & Environment 🧑‍🤝‍🧑🤝🏳️‍🌈 For ideas for social enterprises with a positive environmental or social impact.
• Freelancer 🎨💻🎭 For ideas to create or expand a freelance service.
• Growth 🚀📈💫 For ideas to grow businesses that are already operating and ready to expand.

These four broad categories make participation easy for people and various ideas.
